Your Pamukkale Day Trip Itinerary

1. Early Departure from Kemer

Your adventure begins at approximately 04:30 AM with a pick-up from your Kemer hotel. Traveling in a modern, air-conditioned bus, we head toward the province of Denizli.

2. Traditional Breakfast in the Mountains

On our way, we stop in the scenic town of Korkuteli. Here, you will enjoy a traditional Turkish breakfast to fuel up for the exciting day of exploration ahead.

3. Discovering the Ancient City of Hierapolis

Upon arrival at the south gate of Pamukkale, we step back in time. Hierapolis was a famous health center in antiquity.

  • The Necropolis: One of the largest ancient cemeteries in Anatolia.

  • The Great Theatre: A remarkably well-preserved Roman theatre with a capacity of 12,000.

  • Martyrium of St. Philip: Explore the spiritual side of this historic site.

4. Walking on the White Travertines

Experience the surreal beauty of the "Cotton Castle." The white terraces are formed by mineral-rich thermal waters cascading down the mountain.

  • Photo Tip: The contrast between the white limestone and turquoise water is a photographer’s dream.

  • Nature’s Spa: Feel the soft limestone under your feet and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of the thermal water.

5. Swimming in Cleopatra’s Pool

For an extra touch of luxury, visit the Antique Pool. Legend says Cleopatra herself swam here. The water stays at a constant 36°C year-round and is scattered with fallen marble columns from the Roman era.

Useful Information for Kemer Travelers

What a fantastic adventure! The Kemer to Pamukkale tour was perfect for our family with teenagers. The travertines were like walking on clouds—absolutely breathtaking. Not to mention how cool it was to swim in Cleopatra's pool surrounded by Roman ruins. Highly recommend bringing a camera for those sunrise pics!
